Card Train Prototype

I am definitely not at the 'fine' end of card modelling. I use for simplicity and speed and herewith a movie of my card bodied train. A bit rough I know but it was to see what it all looked like. try for a better effort next time, with the bodies.

One of the great things about this crazy obsession of ours is the many varieties of inspiration it seems to produce. My tool box has grown considerably, my collection of various cardboard varieties likewise , the file of unbuilt kits downloaded from the many sources uncovered by the members is bulging at its ethereal edges. And now this. As a model railway enthusiast myself this idea of placing paper bodies on "regular" chassis has triggered a concept that will no doubt have my family sighing "Oh lor', there goes Dad again...idea #5062..." Thanks Siltec...interesting video

I like it! I want to try something like this for some obscure US trolleys that don't get modeled. You confirmed and proved it works nicely. Like your work and video. Looking forward to more! George

Enjoyed the video clip. If you do another one could you slow down the train and leave the text up longer? I had a difficult time keeping up. In spite of this I still enjoyed watching it. Thanks!

Yes paper is a wonderful medium for trains. Keep up the good work, and please do slow down the train.
Thanks

Dear David:
I give up,,,, What train scale are you using? I think that it is bigger than HO but is not G scale.
Thanks,
Miles

Madbrit hit the nail on the head. Being an HO modeler, I am seriously going to explore this concept! Thanks for the video and the idea.
