Freight cars 1:54

Hi all,

last months I made some freight cars for my trains. I rescaled the original models from 1:38 to 1:54, my personal scale. This ones were constructed by Albrecht Pirling, some of them can be downloaded free on german cardboard forums.

At first two flat cars, the next is a wagon for goods like powder or flour, then a 4 axle-wagon for wood-transport.

Last one is a model by Adam Koch, a polish box car rescaled from 1:45 to 1:54.

Hope, you like them.

Regards
Dieter

Nicely done Dieter! The locomotive seems tiny compared to the wagons. Here in America we're used to seeing locomotives as big or bigger than the wagons they pull.

Thank you, Elliot. The shown engine is really a very tiny switcher engine, made for small stations.

Hi Ken, you have a private message.

Dieter,

Those are very nice cars! There are a few that I would like to purchase, if you could give me the link information. I would be changing the scale to HO.

John

Cute collection In my opinion 1:54 is an exotic scale, but similar to 1:45 (this one I prefer). I see the car (designed by Adam Koch) that you've downloaded from my blog. I hope you'll make more our models Greetings from Poland

Great looking cars and engine. I would want to put them up to 1/2 inch scale for GN15.

Freight cars by A. Pirling 1:54

Hi all,

again I made some freight cars in my special scale 1:54. They were constructed by A. Pirling, as most of my train-models so far.

The first is a closed freight-waggon, the second a self-unloading hopper coach used for gravel.

Regards
Dieter
