Becky! How kind of you to break the Disneyland 2 drought early. I agree with Doug that this looks like a good solution and setup. Looking forward to seeing it in operation soon.

Thanks!

At the moment I'm working on bringing back my REALLY big trains and the layout that's paper models as far as the eye can see:

Above it too!

Thanks to "Mount Saint Crapens" aka garage sale items in winter storage, I was relegated to this puny configuration for the last four or five years:

But now that stuff is being stored elsewhere and I got my space back!

A real steel Lionel #300 bridge would set me back a couple of hundred bucks but my posterboard, cardstock and foamcore recreation was a lot more affordable!

As would a real terraced station:

Paper: it's how poor people with some skill with a blade get the cool toys!

This all looks great!

That bridge is outstanding. It looks like a genuine Lionel metal item.

Nice work on the aerial armada, too.

Excellent to see DL2 2018 Becky! Your Lionel bridge looks fantastic. Really impressive how you manage to make so many fantastic model, and of course design them too!

In the background of one of your photos I saw some skyscrapers including the Empire State and the Chrysler building. Are they Alan Rose models?

Regards

Kevin

Thanks! Most of the scrapers came from here: SkyscraperModels.us - THE place for free build-it-yourself model skyscrapers.

Here's a blurry pic I took while I was figuring out how to fit things back in October:

Can you tell I like the Chrysler building? The one at far right closest to the Statue of Liberty is one of my own. I took a two story art deco bank model and turned it into a mega scraper. I always intended to put a big globe on top and call it the Daily Planet Building!

Got some more double A's yesterday so I'm back in business.

Believe it or not, original Lionel villas like the big red one on the right would only have been about as tall as the little white truck. They were about 1:87 while the trains they were meant to stand along side were 1: 32 or bigger. I just couldn't handle houses smaller than the people!

That tall red lattice structure capped with a checkerboard box is an airplane pylon. See the shadow?
