Tim You did a small mistake in part 38.
Part 38 after gluing should have edges on three sides higher about 1.2 mm - look at this picture.
Try to fix it befor mouting a floor - part 36

I'm very glad that You build my model - I can't wait to see it finished.

Adam, I did make a mistake on this part.

Only noticed after I had glued the part up. Will be missing out the card floor and using wood.

I am planning building a small diorama based on the following picture

I think by the time the trailer is all loaded up. It will all be nicely hidden.

That's a nice wagon.

It would be a shame. If someone were to weather it

The mesh is stainless steel. The wood is courtesy of Starbucks

For weathering the first task was a light dry-brushing with with matt white. No point adding all those rivets if you can't see them.

Secondly, three coats of light dirt wash and then three coats of rust wash.

Lastly a good going over of sand wash. This is a enamel wash. Bit worried using this. But it seems to have sealed things nicely.

The floorboards are just laid in place. Have yet to colour them and rivet in place.

Outstanding job of weathering, Tim.

What are you going to use to emulate sugar cane?

Dear Don

Modelling 1:25 scale sugar cane is going to be fun. Planning to model two types; harvested and still growing. Am taking inspiration from these chaps:

CaneSIG: Handbook Series

The trolley body is now complete:

The wood planks are coffee stirrers, and the rivets are from Drafmodel.

Initially I painted the planks in Tamiya brown (X-9) and glued them into place. The planks were then coated in an enamel sand wash. Finally the rivets were highlighted with a light dirt wash.

Thanks for the info, Tim. I have that site bookmarked.

I presume you are in search of a UK version of Australian Cynodon dactylon - Couch, Devil's, Florida, or Twitch grass.
