Belgian steam tramway fences ( TT scale )
I'm modelling the Belgian vicinal steam tramway ( circa 1930 )in TT ( 1/120 ) scale, 9mm gauge. Of course there is no comercialmodelavailable so I have to scratchbuild everything.
But first,a picture to show what the real vicinal steam tramway looks like: What the prototype looks like: The model: To the left, the 3D printed version ( Prusa Mk3 ) .To the right the paper version cut using the Silhouette Portrait cutting machine. I prefer the paper version , but the quality of domestic 3D printers is improving at a fast pace. Jacques |

Both are quite nice. What material is the prototype fence made of? Am guessing wood but expect maybe cast iron is a possibility.

It is precast concrete.

Precast concrete is something I would never have guessed! That is interesting. Well, I guess if there can be concrete boat hulls there can just as easily be cast concrete fences.
