Thanks, David

The wheels are already assembled to the frame. As usual, the left/right wheels are rotated 90º to each other. The rear axle leaf springs are mounted below, as you can see in the third picture.

Beautiful work Ricardo. I remember from the A4 Pacific model that preparing the main driving wheels was a painstaking job, but also very rewarding as the locomotive really gained shape at that phase. I don't have much experience with train models (yet) but the way you prepared the wheels, by using the template and hold-down pins, is this provided with the model or another example of your ingenuity?

Erik

@ Erik – Thanks the kit includes a 1/1 scale drawing for the both the middle wheels and the others but not parts to make an assembly jig, which is very useful.

Today’s pictures show the brake assembly. As usual, I used rolled paper instead of wires.

Thanks David I confess my poor knowledge of the mechanism proper names, both in English and Portuguese.

Some more pictures, which I hope are self-explanatory…

Thanks for the comments

@ Greg – I try to show the assembly process quite systematically with not too many pictures but often in a disorderly way...
@ Tino – you know that I amass a healthy stack of pictures before starting to show them. This way, the flow can be more uniform. On the other hand, I am a relatively fast builder and, on average, 7000 parts are “processed” each year. 2018, by the way, was a good year

The suspension rods are made of rolled paper. I usually make them a little thinner than proposed, so that they pass more easily through the holes on other parts.
