Beautiful details on the smoke box and boilerfront. The valve handwheels and level gauge are hopefully in anticipation of the steam/water pipes and remaining tubing and details, Ricardo?

Cheers,
Erik

Thanks for the comments

@ Marcin - Wires are not particularly to my taste. When possible, I swap them for rolled paper, as it can be painted and glued with the same pens and glue. The suspension and brake assemblies were made without wire. Anyway, sometimes a wire is useful, like the one on top of the sandbox shown in the second picture.
@ Erik – right. Those details, according to the instructions, don’t require plumbing but there are other instruments inside the cabin and many “wires”, both inside and outside. I’ll get there

The previous posts were about various assemblies. Now, they make up a single part…

@ Marcin- the kit includes circle card formers. I added paper parts to place them rigth and easy the following tasks.
@ Vinalssergio - I like to assemble the models without weathering effects. Well, locomotives were new before getting old and clean before getting dirty. More seriously, weathering is an art that I don’t master

The side compartments (for coal, if I’m not mistaken) have a solid card structure and many rivets!

Thanks for confirming it, Fred At first, I thought that the side compartments were water tanks but the doors, both outside and inside the cabin, were not appropriate for that purpose. The plumbing gives a good hint that the water tanks are below “deck” level.
@ Dancooper – Thanks Is it a Modelik kit, too? I assembled a copy, some years ago.

Mating the big assemblies built before was trouble free.
