Fantastic job! Those valve handles look like you could turn them and hear a miniature hiss of steam!

Thanks, Beckychestney Those valve handles are quite tricky to cut...

Some details – an assembly that will glue on the cabin roof, couplings and lanterns.

The pictures show the cabin roof and more valve handles. Modelik’s paper is not very strong and smaller parts sometimes "decide" to delaminate and the half-parts have to be glued together.

The cabin wall assembly went well. I started with the front wall, whose emplacement is marked in the coal compartments. The side walls came next. I opted to glue the reinforced inner parts first and the outer skin parts, which are slightly longer (to cover the reinforcement card thickness), later.

An incredible job. Some time ago I saw other steam locomotives that you made (in another forum) and I was impressed. I am sure that our friends (of this forum) would like to see them all together when you finish. Congratulations.

I am impressed by your work.
I note in particular the precise job you have done in assembling the lights.
Can I ask please what glue you have used in their construction as there is no sign of warping or distortion as sometimes occurs with white glues.
Thank you.
Clive.

Thanks for the comments
@ Infierno - ok, I promise to take some "train family pictures"
@ Clive - feel free to put any questions I use white glue for small surfaces and all-purpose for larger surfaces, precisely for the reason you point out.

More plumbing work, inside the cabin. In the first picture, you can see the wire inside a rolled paper part. The wire serves to hold the desired pipe shape and the paper coating allows the use of white glue.

Thank you for answering my questions.

By "All-Purpose" do you mean something along the lines of UHU?

Love your rivets and bolts.

I currently building Modelik's Tramlok in 1/25th scale.

I'm at the point where it is time to attach the lower frame covering/body work.

There are hundreds of rivets and I'm using modelik's laser cut ones.

The downside is they are all off white card and so I will have to paint the entire model.

Easy enough with the airbrush though.

However your approach of punching them out of coloured card is far better.

My next project is the Modelik Avelling Porter Steam Roller and I'll certainly hunting down some coloured card and punching them out like yours.

Once again, I love your work.

@ Clive - for the glue, yes. I enclose a picture.
Both the cute Tramlok and the Steam Roller are appealing models. Very colorful! I'd love to see pictures of the completed models, when you get there

The kit doesn’t include parts for a railway stretch. As usual on wide gauge train models, I reprinted parts scanned from GPM’s Leopold gun kit.
