Exceptionally detailed (working!) models for this small scale, and the representation of a piece of history.

I enjoyed the videos and am puzzling through the French narrative.

Is Kolchak's gold in one of the wagons?

Don

Very nice indeed.

I like the idea of using them on Z chassis - have you thought of Magne-Matic Couples or similar?

Thank you very much.
Of course, one of the wagon is the eighth wagon!

Continuation of Gustav Becvar's narrative from the Czech Legion in Irkutsk:
"The devastating counter-attack led by Sergei Wojciechowsk, lieutenant of Kolchak, on the city of Irkutsk to free the admiral produced the opposite effect since the Bolsheviks, panicked, considered it more prudent to get rid of him by shooting him and his prime minister in the morning of February 7, 1920.
Once this was done, they evacuated the city by all possible means and in an indescribable chaos. Caught under white fire, several of their trains were damaged and abandoned on site.
As we were still chronically short of cars and locomotives to complete our return to the East, Captain Krasa instructed me to inspect the railway equipment left behind by the red leaks and to recover what could be recovered. The quest was initially disappointing because, due to the violence of the fighting, only irreparable wrecks remained. However, as I turned around a siding, I finally found an intact freight car with doors locked by heavy padlocks.

It took several minutes of effort to successfully unlock the car door and check the cargo. It was full of heavy wooden crates from floor to ceiling.

We then left with difficulty, because it was very heavy, the nearest crate to inspect its contents.

It was filled to the brim with gold coins and ingots. A quick examination of the other boxes showed us that their contents were identical.

In their haste, the Bolsheviks had forgotten one of eight cars stuffed with Russian gold, transported to Irkutsk by Admiral Kolchak.
I immediately had the car closed again and moved it to our control area where I left it in good custody. Then I went to my supervisor immediately.
An extraordinary meeting of the Legion General Staff was held in the evening and it was then decided to remove the car and its contents to our new homeland, which was in great need of it for its development. The wagon was then attached to our first train leaving for Vladivostok and sent there under a good but discreet escort.
We all swore to secrecy on this matter and that's why this chapter is not in my memory book.

Editor's note: and for good reason, since this chapter is a pure invention... But to what extent?
Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator

It is real gold in the crate. The legend deserved it.
