I've made the "three trains" by Micromodels but didn't think of looking for Mallard.

I'll have to start looking for it! --- Thanks Johnny

micromodels London Ltd.

Look under 'Railway' Mike. They are not cheap anymore, but I guess 8 Euros isn't too bad for two engines. Dunno how legal these reprints are on copyright but they do sell an impressive range.

Not sure who's 75th birthday it is for, but there's an HMS Vanguard on offer as a freebie. I don't think it's Vanguard's birthday, and I'm certain the original MicroModels are older than me. I just turned 75 though, so perhaps it was meant just for me? Pity, I've already got that one, but I might be tempted by some of the other models.

I found this site this morning, it looks as if most of the kits are not original - I've never seen Heidelburg castle before.

My next site was ebay, there's about 5 pages of kits ranging from £5 for 20 original kits to £29 for one kit - I'm trying very hard not to click the "buy now" buttons ;-)))

I am sorry you did not mention my highly detailed O-gauge model of the Sir Nigel Gresley. Available as printed version, or as download.I also have repro's of all Micromodels on my site! zeistbouwplaten.nl, page transport > trains for the Gresley, and page Miscellaneous for the Micromodels.
There is a very detailed building report on this forum as well.

We probably didn't pick that one up 'cos we were searching for "Mallard", the unbeaten record holder.

Sorry for my late reaction. We did the Gresley because it is still running - and also, it holds the steam engine post war speed record.
