Australian Cane Loco

This is an Australian cane loco - a little loco used for trains of sugar cane grown in Australia. It is from a free download on the internet.

I made this with the smaller parts in plastic. I doubled up some of the larger card pieces to give it more rigidity. This has been completely weathered using water soluble pencils to show it in a working state. The turntable was scratch built from card and stone printed on papers again free as a download.

The idea was to try and make a card model comparable in quality to plastic model I see in local modelling society

Also it has a engine built from plastic card inside. The engine panels were cut separate from the engine and the window panels (greyed card) were removed and replaced with clear plastic

Well, guess I sent my comment into the ether somewhere. So once again, I really like that. Industrial style locos are fascinating.

That is a nice little model.
I'm not in it, this sugar cane railway modeling special interest group website may be of interest, https://www.zelmeroz.com/canesig/res...source-01.html

Nice little loco. The cane sig site was interesting as well. ( by the way.. the loco and several related structures downloads can be found there ) Been looking for something small rail related to take a stab at and the loco would fill the bill. It would look just fine in an industrial setting as a cane area. Thanks for posting it!
