Yeah Rick, that's why I had to give it up five years ago, getting old, near sighted and a case of the shakes, much better at drawing than building...

In place

This is what it looks like with the boiler in place, add the bell and I'm ready to move on to the tender..

Bell

Yay!, I got the bell done, that completes the boiler, now I can move on to the tender which promises to be a lot more fun..

Tender

The tender starts out pretty simple, the deck is constructed and the water tank walls to follow.

The walls of the water tank are in two pieces to be joined, one would think that the seam would be on the center of the back but it's not, it's actually off to the right side of the back.

Water tank

Okay, so the tank walls are added to the deck, the tank's top and flare are then cut out and added to the tank, note that there are a good number of brackets that have yet to go in place but I'll mount the tank to the frame before finishing by adding the brackets and filler.

Glad you are still carrying on - feared you would grind to halt right now for a while.

Ben enjoying the build!

Kevin, still carrying on, at this stage it goes together pretty quickly, looks a lot better mounted on the frame with all of the brackets in place, get that done and I can move on to the roof and stack, there are still a few minor bugs, working them out as I go..

Brackets

There are twelve brackets associated with the tender, it has to be in place because there are four rods that secure it to the frame.
