Tatra T-18 Draisine - GPM
In search of a hopefully simple build after my recent build experiences, I have settled on this project.
I skipped to the base first so I had something to test fit the finished product to. Other than the slight challenge of rolling the top part of the rail into a long tube like shape, there were no issues. Lengths of 2.5 mm evergreen styrene were stuffed through these tubes to add strength. greg

Progress is being made faster than I can update this thread.
This is a joy compared to my last project. So far, I have had few fit issues and none that were major. And only one small part was not shown on the illustrations, but placement could be figured out with proper brain noodling. greg

Doors hatch and guns installed.
Of these, the gun install was not well covered by the provided illustrations. Also, I wonder if the gun scopes were actually installed, used or of any value. Mounting the guns with these scopes was cumbersome and I had to shorten the port side scope to get the gun to mount somewhat right. Also the mounting brackets on the bottom of the guns don't seem to do their job well as designed, however I got them to work somewhat to my advantage for better gun placement. greg

Very nice!
I have always had a great interest in drasines and armoured trains. Have been on these - they had a pintle mounted Browning .404 and sometimes a 303 Bren or MAG. The concept and design remain almost the same.

Lights built and installed. These are a combination of petals and rings.
Surprisingly the petals gave me little trouble but the rings did. position in the holes provided in the main body was a little vague as well. The patterns provided for the wire parts do not have thicknesses provided and are simple lines leaving one to figure out appropriate diameter. The post for the top light was made from a round toothpick. greg

Finished this one up this weekend.
I did replace the paper axles with styrene rod and glued the model to the base since there is not real underside detail. I really enjoyed this project. It was a nice diversion from my more involved ones as of late. This one is a good one for a beginner to move a step up in complexity without being overwhelming. greg
