Buildings for my model RR

Some recent projects for my HO scale shelf layout -- All are scratch built in paper and card, using photos of craftsman kits or or of actual buildings. I use Photoshop Elements® to scale the photos and correct any angles, and I use the resulting image a template.

Walls and roofs are texture sheets from Clever Models. Foundations come from various sources, including Texture Library--a free resource. Windows and doors come from my "digital parts box." Details are from Tichy Train Group, Fine Scale Miniatures, Durango Press, Preiser, and the parts box.

There is more about my layout on my blog -- David's Paper Cuts

I REALLY like these buildings, David. The style and historic period are right in the middle of my architectural sweet spot. Images 6 and 7 make me eager to see the model railroad.

Enjoyed reading through your blog. If your landscaping is half as good as your model-building, you must have quite a layout.

Cape, Armstrong, & Co. is my favorite of the group. Small brick workshop follows right behind it.

Those are just great; you're going to have a wonderful layout if you carry on like this.

Very nice, indeed. So realistic. Masterful. Are you going to show us the entire layout?
