Parts 100 - 119
Parts 100 -102 & 110 Side walls Apart from some intricate cutting for the outside trim, no big issues. The window guide spacers could be thicker but thats the only problem. Parts 103 - 109 misc dials and valves. The assembly of the paper parts was straightforward, the fabrication of lines and their installation, not so much. The patterns for a few of them were a little off, and the two lines going through the lower floor were not easy to install. I had to cut one of them because of the 90 degree turn it had to make amongst all the other parts under the floor. Parts 111 rear wall No issues to report. Parts 112 roof cross beams. The back wall piece is supposed to have a hole while the middle one does not. I goofed up and switched them. Oh well. Parts 113 bell I worried this would give me fits. It didn't, except for the bottom bell former that was oversized and needed considerable trimming. Parts 114 roof Assembly went well. I think the two holes for the steam dome/whistle controls are mislocated and need to be further back to match the main arm ends. Parts 115 steam dome/ whistle The control levers might be too long as designed. See parts 114 description above. Parts 116 boiler hand rails A little fiddly but not too bad. Parts 117 lamp shelf The brackets I used were laser cut parts due to the intricate details that would have had to been cut out of 1mm thick card otherwise. Unfortunately, the laser parts needed paint. Aside from the drive wheels, these required a bit more painting skill to get right. I think I did Ok. Parts 118 lamp This was not a straightforward build. I missed a couple internal wall parts and fit of the top and bottom laser parts was vague. The lamp tube inside was made from a detail brush cover tube. Parts 119 rear hand grabs These are the two grabs at each bottom rear corner of the cab side walls. No issues. This completes the locomotive portion of the build, now to start on the tender.... greg

Oops. When there are that many parts, and you try to fit everything on the pages, occasionally something gets missed.
You certainly do precise work, sir

122 - bearing assemblies
Made the missing piece out of extra black color provided in the kit. Basically taped an uncut, unscored one over the black and then scored and cut both at the same time, easy enough. 123 - main truck/bogie beams Just boxes with 1 mm walls. Nothing to it. greg

Your power of perseverance is streets ahead of mine, Greg. And a build anyone would be proud of. Mercy me...
