Happy new year paper modelers

front view of cab skin in place the joins in the are not so prominent as in the photo.

another front view showing scratch-built note bord and added some papers.

front window and bits of trim for around the cab front.

front windows fitted.

the front lights. i used the foil from wine bottle tops as the reflector in staid of the paper ones with a hole in the centre and one near the bottom for the lights. I just used unwired bulbs for the front red lights and for the back white ones.

the light opening cut out

lights being fitted.

lights fixed in place as well as the top front light.

You have a lot of extra work, adding all the electronics.
I hope all the lights come on when you finally throw the switch.
Should be impressive.

The lighting is a great bonus to the model David. Makes it easier for your paper driver to stay on the right track .

thanks, Mike and Erik.
Sorry for the delay in an update
A bit more on the wiring power comes in via a connecter that will be hidden behind a sensor.
i marked one wire as the positive with some red heat shrink, to this i fixed three wires one to go to the connector to take power to the carriage one to the front to connect to the four front lights. the final one to fix to the rear lights.
and then did the same with the negative wires.

inner ceiling dry fitted to cheque fit and light leakage.

The rear lights work.

inside ready for scratch machinery that can be seen from the windows.

i used a copy of the winch motor from the gpm atlass 1:50 scale for the traction motor air cooler motor.

and fixist to the air cooler fan housing.

enlarged the motor up to 1:25 and added more bits to make the air compressors.

electric box and air tanks for the pantograph.

all fixed in place with the lining to the electric room.

and all covered up.

all for now.
