Use small magnet to make the driver's booth detachable. The last picture shows the comparison between the initial prototype vs. the end result. |

Attached the front wall of Driver's booth to the boiler and applied the base black layer.
And for the roof, had a couple of iteration for the good fit, and made the jig to get the good curvature on top. Added some details and applied black color. |

Added the tool box at the top and wood strips inside. Applied wood stain at the end.
And added some letters on the outside (stencil). I was considering white decal but found it's very expensive. So, I tried to go with stencil method. |

I think the stencil work looks very authentic. Perhaps better than white decals. The creation of the jig for the roof curve worked nicely. That level of dedication is one of the reasons this is an outstanding project. Mike |
