I remember long time ago I saw a picture of oddly shaped Darjeeling Himalayan Railway’s tiny Toy train. And impressed by the scene it negotiate model layout like tight curve in the mountain. I wasted no time to visit Canon’s site and downloaded all files.
Thank you for sharing the info
To build it at 1/87 scale looks difficult but your build is neat as usual.
Someday in the near future I want to enlarge it and build using plastic sheet and put it on my tiny toy garden

That is an amazing piece of work! Those Canon models are detailed, but when you scale them down, it just looks jammed packed with detail

What kind of finish are you going to give it before hanging?

Also, please show us the ornament on the tree.

You, know, that's an inspiring idea; whose the other modeler that builds paper models for his tree? He does his full size, though.

Thanks for all the compliments, and I hope to see an enlarged version one day in your garden, Yu. Thanks for stopping by.

Charles, I will of course take pictures when it's on the tree! I'm planning on just using my Krylon UV-resistant clear matte spray for a finish. I've had good luck with that stuff in the past.

Here's my latest progress, the boilers all done and some more details are added. After a nap tomorrow I'll get started on the cab.

Jim, that is a jewel, the more so that it cost nothing but ink, paper, and a few watts of electricity!

For sure, show a picture as it festoons the tree!

So tiny, and yet so clean and sharp! You are indeed a master, sir!
I can't wait to see it finished.

Thanks for following along! I've got another installment now, the little letters were tricky to cut out but look pretty sharp in relief.

The re-scaling does seem to have caused some fit problems with the cab, but nothing too noticeable at least!

Now it's pretty much just a bunch of tiny little detail parts left...
