Alan Rose is aware that people may want to do some other liveries, and he already granted permission to one recolor. So I believe chances are high that the file will be an unlocked PDF so that people can do their repaints. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Now, talking about difficult parts to re-draw digitally...... I hope the looks of this new engine please your eyes, dear fans of the DC-3 kit (Please see at 100%)

What a great thread. I remember putting this model together when it first came out. I had it mounted on the wall with electric motors in the engine mounts so one could push the switch and they props would start to rotate.
Alan Rose models were always ahead of their time I felt. Great job on redoing the DC 3! |

[QUOTE=Rubenandres77;301904]Having the original artwork of this kit must be a dream. Unfortunately it was also impossible for me to think about getting it when I learned it was available.
It should go to a big fan of Alan Rose, DC-3s, or to a proper place to keep it safe and preserved for the future. If Adam Savage gets his hand on it, I think it will be fine, since he seems to respect Alan and his craft. I think you misunderstood it a bit, Mr Rose wants to find a safe place for all of his original art work, in cluding all the World at your feet architectural stuff, the Corvette, the 20th century Limited, and so on, it should go to a proper Library or The Smithsonian or something like that, so i put them in contact with each other I just think that mr Savage and his staff can pull more strings than I can... |

Talking about that, is there anything like a "paper models museum" anywhere in the world? If there isn't it would be a good idea to start one, and have that material preserved. Maybe is just a crazy idea. On the other hand, I'm working on more parts. I believe the final page count will be around 25-27 pages of parts in A3 size. Almost the same amount of part pages of the original kit.

Looks like the kit is looking great in both versions by Billy and Adolf
This are the most recent news: 27 pages so far. 59 parts completed. That means: Only 2 pages left. Only 6 parts left. Final kit will be 29 pages of parts at A3 size. This is looking good.

A great job, you all. The metallic skin looks beautiful but the ordinary paper skin also has so much detail. Wondeful job, Rubén!
