There's a DC-3 offered by Lad 'n Dad on Ecardmodels that's already in vector format that could be upscaled to build the tail end of the model. There's really not much to the tailplane of this bird - it tapers pretty quickly down to the end (the back of the wings is pretty much the midline of the plane). Maybe we can convince Ruben to finish her off? hint hint, wink wink

Friends: your words show how this kit is appreciated.
I hope to make a good job. Quote:
The idea is just to make a copy of the original kit, without additions. Besides, I am not a good designer to attempt such huge work. Quote:

will send them to Billy for build. Now, I try to explain clearly the matter of scale. I believe an image is better: Here you can see how the 100% size can be kept with A3 and Double Letter pages. The same page can be shrinked to A4, Letter, and legal pages. Using those formats can result in a model between 65-74% of the original. See you soon!

Here's an image I edited to show what you get:
As you can see, the model has some slight differences respect to the original colors of the AA DC-3s, specially in the nose and the wing markings. The model represents the front part (about 45%) of the plane. The model is cut at the wingtips line. Since the model once built is 6' 4" (193 cm) wingspan, the scale is exactly 1:15.

That's an interesting image. I also built that same RAF Se5a.
It is huge, but looks like a dwarf besides the DC-3.

This is amazing, I repair furnaces for a living. I have dabbled in paper models, and a life time goal is to build the alan rose dc3 ( although until now I just knew it was "the big dc3") I was in a house today and noticed the guy was building a paper model of a boat. He said, "let me show you something" and took me into another room with one the DC-3s mounted on his wall..... I may not be a very serious paper modeler, but for at least twenty years I have dreamed of finding and building this....
