1-24 size DC-3 repaint

I have done a repaint of Rubén's digital work of the Alan Rose DC-3 to represent a DC-3 in the SKAHS.com museum collection. I have no time right now to do a complete build (I have tested the fuselage and all seems to line up ok) to ensure all works in the smaller size before I put it up for download. Would anyone like to volunteer to doing a build in the next few weeks?

Regards,
John

Does this model have the rest of the fuselage?

In the tradition of Alan Rose

Nope, no full fuselage. It is the wall-hung style like the original Alan Rose design, but reduced to 1/24 size (48" wing span) for printing on letter size cardstock.

John

The Alan Rose Douglas DC-3 Project Template

I am brand new to this site, and found it as a result of seeing the 2012 post of the Alan Rose DC-3 reprint project.

As it is now almost four years later since originally posted, can anyone tell me how and where I can download the template to build the Alan Rose DC-3?

Thank you in advance for any and all info.

You could have missed the announcements in the thread(loads of info) or on another post.

but all versions of the Alan Rose DC-3 are available in our Download section

This should help you get to downloading the DC-3

Repaint to a C-47

I sure wish someone would do a repaint of Alan Rose's DC-3 to a C-47.

My father's airplane looked like this: "3B" unit marking and no invasion stripes. He was a C-47 instructor in Texas from '42-'44, then flew to England about two weeks after D-Day, and was the thick of it from then on.

I tried doing a repaint, but I don't have the talent for it.

Another interesting conversion of Alan's kit would be a Basler Turboprop DC-3.
