Fairey Firefly -Thaipaperwork recolors

Hi everyone,

a note on my work regarding my paintwork on Nobi's Firefly;
been working on these for about 4 years now(not costantly, sometimes with lengthy breaks...) and in all I now have finished 10 verions and still working on 5 more.

here are the ones already finished, the first 3 are target tugs with their armament removed and extra parts for the 'windmill' that powered the winch:

1--Svensk Flygtjanst AB *
2--Danish Air Force *
3--Indian Navy *
4--Royal Thai Navy *
5--FAA 827 sqn HMS.Triumph 1950 (Korean war) *
6--Royal Canadian Navy
7--Ethiopian Air Force (ex-Canadian navy)
8--FAA 1771 sqn HMS.Implacable 1945
9--FAA 1770 sqn HMS.Indefatigable 1945
10-FAA 860 sqn (Dutch) 1946

* already available at ecardmodels.com

and still working on these
(please note that not all of these profiles are finished!)

11-FAA 792 sqn nightfighter training 1948-1949
12-FAA 827 sqn HMS.Triumph 1950 (Korean war)
13-Ethiopian Air Force
14-Dutch Naval Air Service (MLD) 861 sqn
15-Dutch Naval Air Service (MLD) 860 sqn Dutch East Indies 1946-1950

thanks to Mr. Clive Roper and MPM/Special Hobby there's now a bit more information on the Firefly Mk.1 used during the Korean war.

Curious about the need for the free replacement windows for the Fireflies that has appeared on ecardmodels recently. What is the reason why these are needed? Is it an issue of accuracy, fit, or just recoloring?

August, it's just a matter of accuracy.

Thanks for the update Richard. I haven't built my RCAF one yet, but have it printed and ready to go.

A few days ago I added two Firefly pictures to my collection on https://www.flickr.com/photos/zeist_bouwplaten/
Both built by Dutch top builder Leen Lems. He adapted one of them to show the folded wings: the Firefly was specially designed for aircraft carriers.
Please send pictures of your own favourite builds?
