Arabic Help

I've asked David to help, but I figured I'd try here too............ I need help finding these marking in Arabic. I've found Arabic Characters on the net, but they don't look exactly like the characters in the pics........ don't know if it like our stuff different fonts, or what. But I could use any help.

These are the best pics I've found so far and they are not Hi-Def enough to recreate the characters exactly............

Thanks

john

John try google translate, to get the Arabic Characters. I paste into MS Word and save as pdf to Inscape.

That's what I did for my Egypian MiG-21.

The first example is calligraphy, the arabs have it down to an art form. Look at the Saudi flag and you will see what I mean. The last example is what you would see if it were on a typewriter or text of a newspaper. Fortunately, I have forgotten how to read arabic from lack of use over the last 40 or so years.

Thanks for the responses...

I did a trial in Inkscape and here is what I came up with for the name of the plane "AL-QURAIN"

The big is so you can see, the smaller is actual size on the model........yeah I know.

Also the crop of the pic I used.

BB......... I'll do a search for characters close to the other pic. Thanks

The only problem I see is the "lam" the equivalent of our "L" the second letter from the right between the loop and the heavy down stroke. The down stroke is and "aliph" or an "A" the second letter, the "L", should be an equally heavy down stroke which joins to the loop thing which is your "Q" the long horizontal stroke is just for show, the next letter is comma looking thing which equates to an "R". You have to remember that Arabic is written right to left so those letters that start on the right side are a down stroke, not an up stroke which is usually light in weight.

BB....... I'm lost, but I'll keep re-reading and trying to understand what you mean.

Thanks Elliott.......

here's my attempt at the Cut Here marking.......... I used Google Translate (THANKS GARY!!!) and I was able to paste the characters in to Inkscape using ARIAL font and play with them that way.

Again I think I matched up the letters close........... using cut and paste I hope so.......... It's just the pic wasn't very good and the translation left a lot to be desired.
