I have created many fonts in the past. (truetype fonts)
Its a save/export option in corel. I'm sure its a save option in any good graphics program. Just create a vector art...and go. Import your svg, convert to curves if necessary, and go. I remember its a pain creating and saving each individual letter. I forget how you save the entire file. I think they had to be done on a grid pattern or some sort of template. Having trouble remembering. There are a few tutorials on youtube. Maybe theres one to explain how to use whatever software or website you are working with.

Well I created a font........yea!
Now I've got to get the kerning correct and make upper case the same as lower case........ add special characters........create it with a special name that makes sense...........making fonts is hard work. |

Thanks Padraig......... if I hit an immovable object I'll keep you in mind. Here is what I have gotten so far............only lower case and numbers with no kerning.........

well hit a snag...........I'm unable to figure out the kerning and when I tried to make the upper case the same as the lower case it did not work.........at least I have the lower case and numbers set completed and can at least use these all-be-it awkwardly because I have to make individual characters and do the kerning manually.........but I'll keep at it maybe I'll get lucky.

The upper case of that font should look just like the lower case so just type the lower case. There is only one case for numbers so don't sweat that either.
Set up a guide line, type each letter/number individually and drag it onto the guideline and set them up that way if you don't have a manual kerning tool. In Corel you can type a line of letters and kern them manually. Fonts usually don't kern correctly, leaving large spaces between things like A and W and the right side of L. Mike |
