USN deck crew figures

Found this image courtesy Ms. Google which I can use to make a flight deck occifer. How does a dumba$$ like me go about recoloring something like John Dell's free USAAC crew to make USN colors? Have searched ecard and nothing much there. Any other ideas would be much appreciated. Need me some figs to dress up my displays.

that mebbe I can grab stills from. Of course the da$# Corsair is in the way

Also got these. Too bad some of them are not standing more upright.

Michael,

I had the same problem when trying to get some USN figures for my LCT6 (landing craft tank).
I used these and recolored the grey ones in Photoshop.

Try to find images, figures that are straight on if you can, it will make matching front and backs easier.
Unless you don't mind having the same side one way and mirrored on the back.
Meaning like the capt. in the last picture. Left hand out when seen
this way and seen from the back his right arm is extended.

If you want to go all out you can modify the 1/33 scale figures offered free from
one of our club members. You might have to change the outfits from the Scale paper human.
I downloaded Busorama's Star Wars pilot and changed him to look like a
LSM 3 helmsman with flotation vest. Busorama sells figure kits on his Paper Human website.

Thanks to Thomas.

Got his LCT crew and converted it to PDF so I could size it. First cut (62%) they are a little tall. The standing guy is 6' 2". With some coloring and the help of Lady Google I will soon have a complete deck crew for my miniature aircraft carrier deck!!

Looks like they came out pretty good Michael. I was using 15/16" as 6'. That's what my
plastic Hasegawa, Airforce figures measure out to be as does the old Revell PT109 crew
size out to be.

Michael,

I went into my CAD drew a 1" line then divided into 100 segments (1" = 100") Thus 1/100 scale.
I counted out/measured 6' in that scale and found that figures should be around 11/16" Just under 3/4".
Took the figs into Photoshop used sharpen image, brightness down 25% and contrast to 50%.
Anyways, see if you can use the attached images someplace.
