B-17E "Old Maid", Guadalcanal, Hawaiian Air Depot camouflage

I've recently found this B-17E in a very interesting camo from my favorite theater of WWII - Pacific.
And here's the question, can anyone repaint and modify one of Bruno's B-17s into this one? I was thinking about doing it by myself but camo alignment is a horror for me!

That's a good idea too.

Are you planning to upscale it to 1/100? Those images seems to be from a VideoGame.

Tony, yes these pictures are from simulator. I couldn't find anything better.
I don't think I'll upscale it to 1/100. I would build it in 1/150 or 1/200.

Is the Model in question made in a Plain scheme?

If it is, IMHO I'd jump in & do the Camo by hand. It's not that hard to do, actually. Just find a color 3 view, or use the Video game as your template.

There should be better documentation out there in the ether; in '42, E models in the PTO were quite scarce.

This is one of the paint schemes I have been planning to do. But have been way too busy as of late with other things. I’m still trying to get my “Memphis Belle” kit done. Here are a couple reference photos from the batch I’ve been accumulating for my eventual kit. I hope they are helpful.

Famous director John Ford made this color documentary/propaganda film during the Battle of Midway. There are some nice shots of B-17Es wearing the Hawaii Air Depot scheme. The color photos posted are screen captures from this film.
