I've been trying to find out details about that stenciling 2 years ago until I gave up.It's too faded to decipher from museum pieces and I can't find official documents on that either.

Mind you I was looking for Finnish examples,not French or German but I imagine difference was only in language used.

Those are ground canopy jettison handles. The instructions are basically the same.
