Hi All

Update time, I have been a distracted with my normal day to day work and 3D design training courses which has taken up it’s time.

But I have finally completed the arm design and it has been revised at least 2 times to get it right in movement and so on.

The arm has 6 axis of movement which includes the hand fingers(all 5 little piggy`s) . Many of the guards and shields have not been designed yet, that will done later when I get to the other shielding that is needed.

Enjoy.

The next part of the design is the head, it is going to be a bit like the Rens head model for now, but I do want to change a few things....

Hey All

update time again, I have now completed the head design with movement up and down and left and right.

On the top of the head is a search radar disc, a lot like the AH-64 longbow as a means of defence.

Next part is the main body to house the head and arms and ect.
This will take a bit of time to get right in the way that I want to look and work.

Here is a cut away of what the head movement is going to look like.

Truck front end closed up.

cab movement leavers for the head.

Section view of the head in the cab with the front moving panels in place.

Current work in progress state of the model.

Update time again.

I can say now that the design work for the first of 3 phases is now complete.
Phase 1: SAM (transformer)
Phase 2: Weapons trailer
Phase 3: Weapons.

What I am going to do next is to start flatten out the parts into patterns and build the transformer frist then complete the 2nd and 3rd phase of the project.
The renders are not the best as my laptop was taking a time to get the render complete but the pictures will show what the model will look like at the end of the day baring a few extra parts that I have not added to the design yet.

completed closed transformer.

Without the shield.

Full transformer mode.

Hi all

Bit of an update, at the moment I am busy flatting all of the parts for the model and I am about 85% complete with that part, I have not as of yet set any pages up.

What I have done is to start with the assembly drawings mostly on the lines to start getting the model part pages setup in the correct order and also to see if there is extra parts needed to keep the model strong when the model is completed.

here is a 4 sample page of where I am at this moment in time.

Main assembly drawing with some sizes.

Enjoy, more updates to follow.
