Ronaldom doing the "Duel" Peterbilt ... that's a perfect combination of designer and subject!
Ronaldom, are you planning to do the trailer, too? |

If we are going to be asking for trucks from movies, Convoy's Rubber Duck, and Snowman's rig from Smokey and the Bandit

We know from his models that Ronaldom has a special appreciation for the romance and rugged beauty of classic trucks. If a modeler with this appreciation, and with Ronaldom's design and graphics skills, wants to do movie trucks ... I hope that he would focus those talents on the all-time greatest ones.
Certainly the "Duel" Peterbilt tanker rig is one of those. Beyond "Duel" ... what subject could be more fitting than the vehicles from the greatest truck film of all time - "Le Salaire de la Peur" ("Wages of Fear") of 1953, and it's 1977 remake "Sorceror" - a rare case of a remake matching the quality of the original. Doing the pair of trucks from either version - complete with nitroglycerin loads, of course - that would be a project worthy of a designer like Ronaldom. If you love trucks, and haven't seen this film - I highly recommend it, both versions are excellent. Last edited by Art Deco; 03-15-2011 at 10:14 AM. |

Thank's Art, "The Wages Of Fear" is a nice idea, the other I didn't saw. I put it on my desk drawer.
Fast and aerodinamic cars are beautiful and good to drive it, but the "rugged" and strong appearance of those old trucks tell us about another time, deserver of a model for collection |
