Ronaldom, the situation is wonderfully ironic. As you created a great model of a 1970s car historically significant in Brazil, you listened to music on your CD player. But the name of that CD player happens to be the same as the name of a 1960s car historically significant in the US and Canada!

No connection is obvious, however -- this seems to be completely coincidental. A quick web search revealed dozens of companies named Avanti, including a cigar company; a towel company; a manufacturer of washers, dryers, ovens, and refrigerators; plus many restaurants all around the world.

For a quick overview of the Avanti car, visit www.theavanti.com. This site mentions collectors and clubs, implying that plans -- source material for any model designer -- should be available. Could such enthusiasts even be eager to subsidize a paper model, or is that just wishful thinking on my part? The information at the site reminded me that some of the car's controls were positioned above the windshield, as in aircraft -- another distinction for a model.

Best regards!

Yale, its in plastic but AMT has a very nice 1/25 scale Avanti. Not sure its in the current catalog but is fairly easy to find. If you insist on paper, I would still say it would be worth finding as an excellent reference.

Can't disagree, and it's not that I insist on paper. Realistically, my digital collection already may be so extensive that I'll never have the time to actually build all the kits in paper. But every additional kit from our talented designers increases the personal freedom of action for each of us, and it's a joy to see geometric growth in the number of kits available. If that weren't enough, I doubt that I'm the only member of this forum to think, "wouldn't that be cool?," regarding another possible design.

I can agree with you on that, but like the VW SP2 would rather see things not available (and in its case that I hadn't even heard of) already in another media. I'm selfish, I want to see them all done. Now if I would just finish a few.
