FREE Scanner
Free to a good home - local pickup only in Southern California I won't ship it so please don't ask.
HP ScanJet 4400C - Flatbed scanner - 8.5 in x 11.7 in - 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi - USB / parallel inputs. This has been a great scanner and I would still be using it but I have upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit, there are no 64 bit drivers for this scanner. Contact me by private message if you want the scanner Jim Nunn

Hi Jim, if you don't end up selling it, try installing XP Mode and installing the driver there:
Download Windows XP Mode It allows for 32-bit drivers and programs to be installed.

If you don't get rid of it, there is a nice piece of glass in the top
and a couple of small electric motors inside. Not to mention some nice fine coloured wiring, some metal rods and tubes (rails) and other recyclable goodies. All handy things in a diorama or model build!

Just for grins, have you tried VueScan?
I know on my Mac this software has allowed me to use a couple of scanners that officially didn't have OS X drivers, like an older Minolta slide scanner.
