Thanks, Mike!

Well, my Dad taught me to enjoy having hobbies (I draw and sew) and I'm happy to pass the paper models along. Even when he was in the Palliative Care center, he was building The Duomo of Florence, which I now have on a shelf above my desk, along with the Frauenkirche at Dresden and St Basil's Cathedral on the Red Square!

Regards,

Susan

Ah...I did not see someone wanted those.

Not to be greedy, but how about St Michael's Church in Hamburg?

Hello,
I am sorry to hear about the passing of another paper modeler. It is a wonderful thing to not let your fathers models go unbuilt. I am wondering why you decided not to give one a try, but paper is not for everyone I guess. At any rate, the people on this site do awesome work, and I am sure your dad's models will be done up right! Thank you and I look foreward to seeing some new build threads.

Hi Armorman,

I'm very happy that you want St Michael's Church in Hamburg!
It is not in the shrinkwrap plastic but it is complete with no sheets missing.

If you get back to me with your address, and you're in mainland USA, I don't have any problem mailing it to you this week on my own budget.

Susan

Hi Ct_ertz,

Thank you for your condolences. You're right... it seemed terrible to keep the unbuilt models... or, even worse, to throw them out! I used to build models with my Dad. He had an HO train layout in the basement and he taught me how to model pretty professional-looking houses for the layout, back in the 1960s when I was a child. I graduated to making architectural models for fun (the Arche de Triomphe, a Shakespearian house, a Roman villa). Other hobbies took over as I grew up but maybe when I retire, I might try paper models. I appreciate your encouragement!!!

Susan

Thank you for your kind thoughts.

As you are the first to request the book, I will gladly mail it to you this week.

Since you live in Georgia, USA, that's not too far and it's within my budget to mail it to you on my dime.

If you send me your address, I will get it in the mail this week.

Regards,

Susan
