newbie faq
Wow, I didn't realize people bought and sold models and model kits.
When I search ebay, I only get a few paper models. I'm a paper model artist. How would I determine the cost of a model? Is it based on time to complete, or market value of similar items, or what? Here's an example. How much would you pay for one of these? It stands 35 inches tall. |

Do you mean for the kit (patterns) or for a build model?

your pic not good enough to tell how good your built, hard to say. if it is one of the original out of printed japanese printed kit: the cost of the printed + shipping or whatever the total cost you paid, and then add what ever you think your time/skill level worth. that could be low as $1.00 ~ $your imaginations, sky is the limited. will people buy it, that's a different story.
if it was a free download: your time/ skill level. but again, you need to show a lot of good detail pic to show how good your built. or, try "make offer". after you sold the first, then you got reference to price your next built.

If you want to get an idea of cost have a look at the selections on ecardmodels.com. I also know of a really great designer ƒJƒ~ƒ‚ƒfƒ‹ who sells his Koomarty model for 250 yen (approximately $3). On a personal note, I'm always hesitant to purchase anything that isn't officially licensed when it's a recognizable trademark/copyright.
