A few already built models for sale

I will be starting school in a few months and will be moving to do so. I am trying to get rid of a significant amount of stuff. Some of it I can't bear to just trash, namely a few of the models I have built. These models are between 5-10 yrs old and show some signs of wear and neglect and are covered in dust but I thought someone might like them for a few bucks plus shipping.

Airwolf: My own design that I built. I never made the guns on the left side I have lost the tail rotor and the horizontal tail planes are sagging pretty good. There is a water droplet stain on the left side and it's really dusty. Should be really easy to build the missing stuff if desired.

Prototype Super Corsair: Just decided I can't part with this one.

Birdmobile Sparrowhawk: The only one that is not my design and probably in the best shape although still dusty and some dings.

I don't know if anybody will actually want any of these but I figured I offer. So if interested please pm with an offer.

I think selling models is a great idea...in the right venue.
Not sure how much luck you will have here
and shipping the models might be more trouble than it is worth for you.
Safe packing is difficult, postage costs are very high,
and don't forget the risks during shipping.

If you can take models to a show or event where people could buy them in person
might be a better idea.

But...you are going to need to fix and finish the models.
I can't see anyone wanting to pay for an incomplete Airwolf ("no guns", "lost tail rotor)
or a damaged model ("...sagging pretty good", "some dings")

Theres always donation?
The Bird would look great in a school classroom, a pet store, or animal shelter, or even a Library.

Thanks Dave for your advice. I'm really not wanting to sell them for a profit or anything. Mostly just a couple bucks a piece to cover the effort to pack and ship them. Airwolf would be reasonably easy to finish up for someone who was interested. I'm not, but as i said it pains me to just toss it in the trash.

But I guess the thing about this community is that it is composed of builders and if they want a model they build it. Airwolf certainly isn't hard to come by. So it will probably go in the trash.

There is an elementary school nearby they might be interested in the bird.

I can't see any classroom Teacher saying no to a lovely bird model like that.

Take the bird to a park

Put it a tree. Watch peoples recation. I was thinking of placing a set Marine Iquanas on the sea wall where I live, to video how cautious, people are about approaching.

Exclamation give them away

why not consider giving them to others?

First, no one will pay you for your time you spent building them.

Second, it make better sense to share them with others. Either as a learning tool or as a means of Paying it Forward.

Please see my recent posting on this subject in which I gave them all away to other builders , collectors and just interested folks:

Time to thin the herd
