Cut and Assemble Suburban Houses of the Twenties: Four Buildings in H-O Scale

Looking for a cheaper copy of this title

Cut and Assemble Suburban Houses of the Twenties: Four Buildings in H-O Scale: Edmund V., Jr. Gillon

It was released in 1993, but hasn't hit the reprint cycle from Dover.
$25 on Amazon and even higher on ebay is a little rich for me at this time
So I am looking to see if anyone has a copy, and would like to sell it to me.

Thanks in advance

Rick

I can't help you out there, but I wanted to thank you for posting. The last house brings back memories. It looks a lot like the house I lived in from 1939 to 1942 in Pleasent Ridge, MI. My Dad built a large boat pond with mountains, running streams and boat docks for the two rubber band driven wooden ocean liners that he designed and built for me along with a clock spring driven side wheeler that he also designed and built. The couple that bought the house from us, had a boy my age, who thought he had died and went to heaven. His mother had the pond filled in, before they moved in. She thought it was a safety hazard. The water level never exceeded 6 inches anywhere on the pond! Just shows you that "over protection" is not a new thought.

There's one on Ebay.ca Buy it now for US $11.19. I should get in quick though as it's much dearer in all other offers.

It looked pretty kosher to me, but I didn't want the book so I didn't proceed beyond the point where they asked for a credit card for an age reference.

I've been after that one too, but it's rarer than hen's teeth and when it shows up its for silly (and I mean SILLY) money.

Mr. Gillon's designs are easy to build and very accurate (he's an architectural historian) and I wish Dover would reprint his model books.

There are about a dozen vendors on Amazon selling the book around $25 with $3.99 S&H,

and I agree, I wish there more on the market

Though his work is superb, $29 for one of these books is beyond my means and even if it weren't, beyond what I'd consider reasonable for what you get.

Now if we could get Dave Graffam to do houses like this....

No kidding. The lower right one is pretty much my house, without the chimney and with the side door on the back.

what I find interesting is, that his books from the 1980s, the sawmill, windmill and others are often cheaper than even some of the still currently published stuff, leaving the OOP titles aside
