Trust me, I have the shortest temper of anyone you know, but I don't usually get mad because I think I also have a short memory of offenses.

I learned to roll with my name a Short (Er, it seems LONG!) time ago.

Forbidden Planet C-57D Space Cruiser Deluxe Edition by Polar Lights
New in original shrinkwrap.
$265.00 + $3.99 shipping

ebay:
Forbidden Planet C-57d Deluxe Edition Plls0916 Polar Lights
Brand new: lowest price $125.00 + $19.00 Shipping

Like Dave mentioned yours does not seem like mint in the box condition so the price would probably have to reflect that. Of course there is no telling if those listings are not resealed and are being passed off as mint in box condition.
You must have missed the Amazon listing for the Deluxe Edition for $650.00!
Someone has lost their perspective.
The large one was always an expensive kit, but regular large or deluxe large the prices are getting high and obviously in some cases ridiculous.
I don’t think they produce this kit any longer and it’s the only decent kit ever produced of the C57-D so prices are rising.

Just remember, you can always go down in price but not up.

Beautiful kit if you have the space to display it.

$40 for an opened, but new/complete 1st edition kit.
Thats it.
Thats what people are willing to pay on ebay.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Forbidden-P....m43663.l10137

Wanna Trade it?
I'll give you $240 worth of digital paper models for it?
If you want printed kits, I have some of those too...we can barter a deal...I'll make sure you're happy.

Thanks much for all your suggestions! I really appreciate it.

I had considered eBay but had thought twice given recent experiences, where the purchase made through a best offer or through a discount was never accurately recorded. he inflated price was always the asking price, regardless of what was actually spent!

This wasn't a kit I bought but the result of a trade gone wrong where the other party was not very honest. Long story short, I wound up with the kit.

It is a nice one; clean and with detail, but it had been opened. I still have the plastic but it had been opened so its not mint and not mint priced.

I'll ferret around the sites that you suggested. I hate to put it up on eBay; I wonder about whether Starship Modelers still has good traffic?

Thank again...Really, much thanks!
