Here we go again,
Mike, Jim thanks for comments. I think that there's still an opportunity to improve the skills related to precission. But lets have a look on the latest progress. Next series of slides is showing the assembly of the parts of the superstructure right behind the AK130 on the bow. The railing (or rail ?) is home made and aligned for these part, since COTS laser cut parts do not fit as precise I would like to have. It took me several days experimenting with various materials until I came to an acceptable result. Regards Klaus

That really came out nice! I like the way the railings look, and the superstructure with all of its wonderful details is amazing.

I have this same kit, I will use the photo etch for the Trumpter kit in the 1/200th scale. You are doing a wonderful job and I have too keep reminding myself you have scaled this down. Looking forward to more of this thread.

Hallo - time for a small update,
@Michael : maybe the "homemade" railing does not look as good (professional) as its LC equivalent - the main advantage from my point of view is that I can design it for best fit at its dedicated location on the ship. @Don and Jim : thanks - I will try my best @Papercut : It's my passion to scale everything down (except my salary) Only little progress to report today. The first two parts of the superstructure are now fixed on the hull. Prior to adding the bed-plates of the quadlaunchers two stairways have to be installed. Slide one depicts the solution of the kit, my home made handrail with a LC stairway and for comparison only a LC handrail. Slides two and three shall give an overview of the assembly. Cheers - Klaus

did some work on the 3D Radar "Top Steer". Both reflectors are almost complete - so have a look at it. Any suggestions for enhancements ? Regards Klaus
