What a superb build...and so quickly too...all in a single day!:D

Seriously, that is a beautiful model, and the photo etched parts do add a lot to the detailing, but it is your craftsmanship that made this model an eye-poping success!

Congratulations, and thank you for sharing photos of your build with us.

Cheers!

Jim

This is a beautiful work. Congratulations!
The masts (antenna) are in paper?
Joe

I'm taken by how the open hangar really adds to the model.

Where is this model available? I need something to break me out of my building slump....

I found it at the HMV online shop here:
Aegis-Kreuzer U.S.S. Ticonderoga (1983) - Artikeldetailansicht - HMV - Hamburger Modellbaubogen Verlag

There may be other sources, but I hope that link is a good start....

Cheers!
Jim

The Ticonderoga-kit is HMV at it's very best. For the fine detail I used the metal photo-etch set. The kit is also available via HMV itself (Aegis-Kreuzer U.S.S. Ticonderoga (1983) - Artikeldetailansicht - HMV - Hamburger Modellbaubogen Verlag).

Thanks for the links to the model. I can't find an English translation, though, and being monolinqual (sad to say) I've really no idea what they're talking about.

I speak 3 languages, (4 including "Pig Latin": 'aveH'bay bay'a icen'bay ayd'bay!! ) but to be honest, Google Translate is my best friend. Type Google Translate into Google Search, Press for the website, go to the website in question, copy and paste the web address into the open white dialogue box, Press "Enter" on your keyboard, and the website will come up translated. Works like a charm. I have found on really long web pages, it starts to fall off, i guess it get's tired or lazy? Here's a link to the translated page. I don't know why no one sells these models stateside? First link is actual website. 2nd is "Google Translate".
