Have you read "Lords of the Lake" by Malcomson? It's about the naval arms race on Lake Ontario. It's an excellent read. I was up at Sackets Harbor this summer for their reenactment...cool stuff. I took a bunch of PIX, If anyone is interested I can post them.

Sackets Harbor (Upstate New York) is a neat place. Nice harbor, well preserved battlefield & a brewpub!
