Here's the rest of the underwater hull plates, and I've touched up the colours with very thin transparant acrylic paint.

Hi!

Looks pretty good so far! Nice smooth and a very intensive color! I like it! But why does it look so smeared? Is it because of the flash in the camera? I noticed this effect by myself making pictures of the black parts of my current built. So I try to do pictures without flash, then they look more like it is in reality.

Anyway, nice build so far! Keep up the good work!

Regards,
Radek

I've already softened the flash on my camera, but it still seems to be a bit too much.

She's taking shape nicely - great work, and lots more in front of you. I know you have a thing about THAT SONG from the film - Love it or hate it, but one of the real moving pieces from the film Titanic i've linked to here... Do you like this ?

Harland & Wolff's homepage still links to a Titanic museum site (Harland and Wolff).
I can't watch the video from the office since Youtube is disabled, but I'll watch it tonight.
Here are some of the decks, which are built right before the hull plates will be attached:

Hi Marco,

wow, it's growing fast, your "Titanic"!
You're handling her very well.
Just a question on the first buildups: Is it true to the original, that there is an orange "stripe" on the lower part of the walls? I can't remember this from the movie (and historic pics are just black and white)...
BTW, i really love your detailling, the open bulkheads and benches are gorgeous

Looking forward for more...

Kind regards

Lars

Lars: it is also the first time I have seen this colouring, and I do not know where it comes from. The model strikes me as well-researched, so there must be a reason for the orange "stripe".
