You are in very good company using metal for flags. Large numbers of models made from the 1600s to the early 1800s that now are in museums have painted metal flags, often made from very thin copper (aluminium was very rare and difficult to extract from ore during this period). If the craftsmen of that time found metal a suitable material, so could we.

Maty had a 1989 Kit. one is available very reasonably now. Google Also 1/100

These are good dramatic photos Radek.
The white sails contrast nicely with the dark background.
