Mayflower Galleon 1:100 (The pilgrims journey)
Quote:
You are in very good company using metal for flags. Large numbers of models made from the 1600s to the early 1800s that now are in museums have painted metal flags, often made from very thin copper (aluminium was very rare and difficult to extract from ore during this period). If the craftsmen of that time found metal a suitable material, so could we. Maurice |

Some Gallery pics
Hi!
Thank you for the comments and that you enjoyed the thread. And thank you Mike for always being there! Your presence is much appreciated! I hope my tips can help others and many of the techniques I present here are old, even as old as contemporary models from hundreds of years ago... I asked a good friend to make a bit better pictures and here are some, I will post a few more once I went through them all. Enjoy and see you soon in this or in the next thread! -Radek

These are good dramatic photos Radek.
The white sails contrast nicely with the dark background. Mike |

Hi!
Thanks Jan! So are all your models! @Tapcho: Sure! I'll message you on Whatsapp and let's arrange a time. @Mike: All credit goes to my friend who made the photos. I was just the "director" of the photoshoot.. @Tomek: I've started building the next one already a while ago and will post some progress here, soon. It is my project on the galleon Neptune from the movie Pirates by Roman Polanski. You'll see the thread on that build soon more active. Here's a link: Pirate Galleon Neptune -RdK
