What-If USCG vessel in 1/400

Dear All:
For some time I have been longing for a Helicopter carrying cutter in paper from the USCG. And eventually I may design a Bear Class, but by now I do not belong to me (always to the Lord), but lately to "la Patrona" and "la Patroncita" so I will post simple models I have done in the past, and good excuses to land my tiny helicopters, all in 1/400 scale.

Governor Class

The first one is the Governor Class, which I recolored the wrong way from the simple Erimo Class found in the well known Japanese Coast Guard site.
The name is in memory of my late friend and mentor Alejandro Gobernatore who taught me the ways of modeling regardless the media (pl2$t1c or any other).

104 Chicharrero Class Cutter

This one is to honor our good friend Chicharrero, very much alive and always willing to help find obscure subjects. The model is a recolor of the Sea Slice, developed by Lockheed Martin, a variation of the SWATH hull design.

And a great honor to be named the model with my nickname.
Chicharrero is the nickname that give us the inhabitants of the capital of the island of Tenerife.

Y un gran honor el haber bautizado el modelo con mi sobrenombre.
Chicharrero es el sobrenombre que nos dan a los habitantes de la capital de la isla de Tenerife.

Hey, that SWATH is quite an interesting idea. They need some for real!

Nice

Nice. Although these models are not original USCGC's, but it was worth the effort. When I was young and had no money to buy ship plans or magazines I used to make plans myself. Not a work of art but I was satisfied that I made something that was burning in my heart.

Amazing work! At the risk of being called a vulture, would you be willing to share or sell the files?

Sea Shadows second life

This is a sea shadow in low viz. I am sure that with current technology the color of a ship can change accordingly to light and environmental conditions. The model is a recolor of the one in one of the few books about paper modeling designed by Juliette Cezzar, Paper Capitan, so it is copy righted. Again this is a simple model, but this is a hobby!
