A very nice build of a interesting vessel. I have been sorely tempted to order Oliver's more detailed, twin screw/twin rudder, model at Walden Models. One of these days.

A very exotic machine, surely with many tecnical problems (if was a real ship) but still a beautiful rare thing and a nice model (a superb job from you cjwalas).

Chris --
I'd love to see you build that Maly Hampden! But I'd also like to see that KGV take shape. Meanwhile, how about more of the Walden models? Don |

Don,
I will do the Hampden someday, probably sooner than later. But a friend in Europe tells me he has the Fly model Hampden that is in the night bomber color scheme. I haven't been able to track down a copy anywhere else yet. Talks are ongoing! With some of the recent 1860's- 1900 ship models coming out, I'm thinking I may go on that track for a while. I don't think I'll tackle the Hunley yet, but I also have the4 Drafmodel Forelle 1903 submarine. It's in 1/50, so I'll need to scan it and enlarge it to 1/25 to match most of the other small sub models I have waiting to be built! In the meantime, I have oh, so many models to keep me busy!:o As for the KGV, I think I may be a few years away from that one! Chris |

B-manic.-
Thanks for the information. The russians are very innovative through the naval history but often very crazy fast-developers with strange ideas without solid technical basis (as that ship and others like Novogorod, etc.). Saludazos again ! |
