Alright, White Bush it is. But don't worry, I'll be doing Fir very soon-she is simply to handsome to pass up.
Don, I was not familiar with that report, great stuff. It looks fascinating, I will have to read it over when I have the time. I have seen the drawings, high resolution versions are available from the Library of Congress online, along with literally hundreds of high resolution photos. I am not at all lacking in reference material! Wilfried, that German tender is quite handsome itself. I'd like to expand to international ships someday, and in fact I'd like to do a great many Coast Guard vessels. There is something quite enchanting about them. |

I agree about Fir. A beautiful ship, and I am glad that you are going to develop of model of that ship, as well. In fact, any of those comely ships would be most welcome.
You are embarked on a most worthy project, Avery! Don |

If you are going to do the Coastie ships then the US Revenue Cutter Rush has to be one them

I've got mine!
Many thanks, Avery. By the way, those interested in maritime matters may find this site useful: Live Ships Map - AIS - Vessel Traffic and Positions It shows graphically, with links to excellent images and ship data, all vessels world wide that squawk on the Automatic Identification System (AIS). I really enjoyed this capability during the past two weeks while Lil and I were at Cape May, New Jersey. The cottage we rent is next to the dune at a site overlooking the entrance to the very busy Delaware River ship channel and it was great to be able to track incoming and departing tankers, container ships, ugly car carriers, cargo ships, barge tows, integrated tug-barges, pilot boats, Coast Guard ships and craft, and other maritime traffic on the Ship Tracker and then actually to see them steaming past in the distance or anchored at Big Stone Anchorage, where the deep draft ships moor to be loaded or unloaded by lighters.
