Congratulations on sticking with it through to completion Jim. Lots of detail and a very unusual subject to add to your shelf.

Thumbs up After-Action Report: SURCOUF-Fly Model 139

I have finished this, my first very complex card model, at last. Thanks to all of you, my Forum buddies, for the tips and the encouragement.

In July of this year, I suffered a rather serious injury to my right hand which required 2 months of immobilization and rehabilitation. The hand now works just fine..TBTG. Hence the delay in "getting this done".

I'll give the original 1:100 FLY MODEL kit an 8.5 out of 10.
Remember that my model was rescaled by me to 1:200, repainted, etc. These things were likewise firsts for me. So, I tips my cap to the designers.

Compared to 1:200, 1:100 would probably be EASY!! (But I do not have room for 5 foot model submarines in my house).

My modeling philosophy is always to incorporate as much detail as possible, and to add at least 1 figure to show scale.

Thanks my friends!
Jim

Patince vs Discipline

My Uncle Stan taught me that Discpline ruled the process; Patience wrought the result.
