Oh good for you, Carl - Victoria is one of my favorite ships, and is also on my ever growing to-do list! Both ships went through a few refits, which might explain the discrepancies you mentioned. Most notably the funnels were raised to improve draft, and also to keep the smoke out of the bridge. Looking at the short stacks you have to wonder what were they thinking?

Oliver -- They were porbably thinking the same kind of things that the designers of the early Dreadnought classes were thinking when they placed the forward tripod mast so that the rangefinders would fill up with smoke from the forward funnel. Don
