been there

Great looking model.....just like the real thing .....I was aboard the real thing in the mid 70's as a US Navy contractor and had the pleasure of having lunch with a number of German Naval Officers....and the model is just as I remember it. I have this model to build sometime and I just wish I could do it as well as you have.....

Oh, nice ships - in 1980s Dad was XO of USS Glennon, DD 840. He had a blast on her.
Was also on Sumner class Ingraham, DD 694, I think.

Think Glennon was FRAM I and Ingraham FRAM II.

I do realize the modern designs do have a need for low radar reflectance and all - but they don't look "Navy" !

GEARINGS and ADAMS CLASS

I have always liked the shipsof the ADAMS CLASS ,BUT , my heart is with the gearings . My NAVY homes were the U.S.S. OZBOURN -D.D.846(AGEARING , both before and after FRAM ) and the U.S.S. JOHN PAUL JONES (a FOREST SHERMAN CLASS) and as a FLEET MARINE the U.S.S. MIDWAY !! I still like your model and would like to get one . How can I contact WILHELMSHAVEN directly or find a seller here ?Can you give me any help in this matter , OH , that,s a darned good job on the masts. Bet you pulled some hair out . I did the first time I did a fully rigged sailing ship in paper . papersurprise50

You know, I no longer know of any source for Wilhelmshaven Models here in the US (not since Paper Models International closed). I got this one on e-bay; that's where I'd suggest looking.
