JSC 1/400 GRAF ZEPPELIN (never-finished German aircraft carrier)
Launched but never completed, the Graf Zeppelin was/would have been Germany's only aircraft carrier. Her design was somewhat comparable to and influenced by the Japanese carrier Akagi. There's a lot of debate about how effective this design would have been in service, as a carrier, but overall I'd have to say that giving Germany the ability to put Stukas and 109s out in the middle of the ocean would have changed the dynamic of WWII at sea considerably.
This is the 1/400 kit from JSC. It goes together fairly well; the tiny 1/400 aircraft are the most challenging aspect and call for quite a bit of patience! There were more aircraft included with the kit, but this was about all I could stand... |

Very nicely done! I have this one in my build pile as well but am not looking forward to the aircraft.

2 dozen aircraft of that size should be enough. Looks great with the aircraft being on a ship as oppsed to land based.

Thanks! I'm currently working on the JSC Intrepid and facing the same aircraft issue. Will plan to take it slow and work on lots of other projects simultaneously to avoid going mad.
