Herkey, it was a wilhelmshaven kit. I recently scored one on Ebay a couple of months ago....it is in the "must build this winter" pile. You may be able to buy one directly from Wilhelmshaven.

Check out Diderick at - Zeist Bouwplaten - Import, verkoop, ontwerp en productie van papieren schaalmodellen, maquettes en bouwplaten (cardmodels), Modelbouw, Rietveld cutoutmodels. He advertises a copy in his online catalogue; good luck it's quite rare these days and expensive. It is a Wilhemshaven kit.

Surprise, the USS Forrestal is also available at "Wilhelmshavener Modelle", who would have thunk?
See: Wilhelmshavener Modelle

but, please watch out, the offsetprinted model are rare and very expensive; Wilhelmshavener of today only offers laser reprinted cardmodels mostly ...

Wilfried, how would you compare quality of the old (offset printed) kits and the laser printed kits? I've purchased a couple of the downloads, and their quality seemed to be an improvement over the old print kits. I lucked into an absolute bargain on the kit I bought from ebay (which was original, not a bootlegged reprint)....the Forrestal was mine for only $15 US.

Hello Darwin,

as the Wilhelmshavener started with reprints there was a big rumor in the scene about this kind of cardmodels. I saw a lot of them with colours washed and faded out and many more ...
In the last years the quality of the digital printed matters should be better - but -offset printed is offset printed!
I have no idea which download quality comes to paper?
If you can get an old Wilhelmshavener, Lehrmittelinstitut or Jade-Verlag - grab it.
So you're a lucky man - an original FORRESTAL for 15 bucks; I payed a little more ...

With lovely greetings
the Wilfried

I bought mine at Marcle models about 15 years ago and not a reprint
Took me nearly 3 years to build with an average of 100 parts to each aircraft alone
Up in the loft now warpped, crushed and ready to be recycled.....
